Oilers win at home over the Bombers, 12-5


The Owensboro Oilers won Wednesday night at home over the Dubois County Bombers. The final score was Bombers 5 to Oilers 12.

The Oilers opened the scoring with two runs each in the bottom of the 1st inning and bottom of the 2nd innings, then added three more runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to take a 7 to 0 lead.

The Bombers rallied hard midway through, scoring two runs in the top of the 5th inning and three runs in the top of the 6th inning. The visitors narrowed the score to 7 to 5.

Owensboro equalized the push from Dubois County by getting one run back in the bottom of the 7th inning, then putting the game back out of reach by adding four runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to win by the 12 to 5 final margin.
