Paducah Chiefs Blows Away Hoptown Hoppers By Seven Runs

Paducah Chiefs easily dispatched Hoptown Hoppers 12-5 on Tuesday.

Paducah Chiefs got things moving in the first inning, when Reid Pope singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Paducah Chiefs put up five runs in the second inning. Paducah Chiefs big bats were led by Grayson Taylor, Nicholas Rucker, Reid Homan, and Lofton Pigg, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Mitch Turner pitched Paducah Chiefs to victory. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out one and walking one. Brady Austin threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Hunter Crosby took the loss for Hoptown Hoppers. He went three innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits and striking out three.

Hale Sims started the game for Paducah Chiefs. He went four innings, allowing five runs on nine hits and striking out three
Paducah Chiefs racked up 11 hits on the day. Rucker, Pope, and Taylor each had multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Rucker went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits. Paducah Chiefs didn't commit a single error in the field. Pigg had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.

Hoptown Hoppers totaled 11 hits. Brennan Crooms, Wyatt Stevenson, and Hunter Evans each collected multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Crooms led Hoptown Hoppers with three hits in three at bats.
