Paducah Chiefs Grabs Lead In Eighth Inning For Victory Over Madisonville Miners


Paducah Chiefs defeated Madisonville Miners 12-11 on Sunday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at ten with Paducah Chiefs batting in the bottom of the eighth when Alan Roden tripled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

Paducah Chiefs collected 11 hits and Madisonville Miners had 13 in the high-scoring affair.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Paducah Chiefs tied things up at ten. Palmer Campbell doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs. Paducah Chiefs put up four runs in the seventh inning. Drew Hudson, Brenton Tidd, and Campbell each had RBIs in the big inning.
Blake Bagenstos took the win for Paducah Chiefs. He allowed three hits and one run over two innings, striking out three. Mitch Turner threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Colton Olasin took the loss for Madisonville Miners. He allowed four hits and three runs over two innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Hale Sims started the game for Paducah Chiefs. He allowed seven hits and seven runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out eight Griffin Lape started the game for Madisonville Miners. He went four and a third innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out four. 

Paducah Chiefs socked one home run on the day. Hudson had a homer in the seventh inning. Paducah Chiefs had 11 hits in the game. Roden, Tidd, Hudson, and Ja'lil Akbar all collected multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Roden went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits.

Madisonville Miners racked up 13 hits on the day. Charlie Szykowny, Tredell Blow, Jacob Council, and Michael Sookdeo each managed multiple hits for Madisonville Miners.
