The Dubois County Bombers Grabbed the Lead In Eighth Inning For Victory Over the Fulton Railroaders


The Dubois County Bombers defeated the Fulton Railroaders 3-2 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. Fulton trailed 2-1 in the top of the eighth inning when Jake Wikel homered off of Willie Poe, driving in one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. hurlers for Dubois County struck out four, while the Railroaders pitchers sat down three.

The Bombers captured the lead in the second inning. Roman Trujillo's sac fly scored one run for Dubois County.

Brandon Smith earned the win for the Bombers. He pitched two and a third innings, allowing zero runs, zero hits, and walking one. Seth Rayburn took the loss for Fulton. He tossed four and a third innings, surrendering one run, two hits, striking out one, and walking one.

William Seewer started the game for the Railroaders. He threw five innings, allowing two runs, one hit, and striking out two. Cole Berry started the game for Dubois County. He pitched five and a third innings, surrendering one run, two hits, and striking out three.

Bryce Krizan, Jordan Libman, and Camdon Mercier each collected one hit to lead the Bombers. Dubois County didn't commit a single error in the field.
