The Dubois County Bombers Jump Out To Early Lead In Victory Over the Owensboro Oilers


The Dubois County Bombers defeated the Owensboro Oilers 14-4 thanks to a strong start. The Bombers scored on a error in the first inning and a single by Jordan Libman in the second inning.

Dubois County captured the lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for the Bombers.

Dubois County scored four runs in the fourth inning. The Bombers's big inning was driven by a double by Camdon Mercier, a single by Brandon Smith, and a groundout.

Jordan Cozart earned the win for Dubois County. He pitched four innings, surrendering two runs, one hit, and striking out three. Michael Rotenberry took the loss for the Oilers. He threw five and two-thirds innings, giving up eight runs, nine hits, and striking out six.

Bear Bellomy started the game for the Bombers. He went four innings, surrendering one run, four hits, and striking out four.

Dubois County collected 15 hits. Craig Shepherd, Mercier, Smith, Jordan Libman, and Anthony Sanchez each collected multiple hits for the Bombers. Sanchez, Libman, Smith, Mercier, and Shepherd each managed two hits to lead Dubois County.

Jose Martinez Jr. of Owensboro went 0-for-1 at the plate as he led the team with one run batted in.
