The Muhlenberg County Stallions Capture Lead Early To Defeat the Dubois County Bombers


The Dubois County Bombers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-5 loss to the Muhlenberg County Stallions on Saturday. Muhlenberg County took the lead on a single in the second inning.

The Stallions captured the lead in the second inning. Muhlenberg County scored one run when Brandon Harper singled with one out in the second inning.

The Bombers scored three runs in the seventh inning. Dubois County scored its runs on a single by Camdon Mercier.

The Muhlenberg County Stallions scored five runs in the sixth inning. The big inning for Muhlenberg County came thanks to a error, a walk by Michael Brown, a walk by Ian Walters, and a single by Reed Millwood.

Cortland Hampton earned the win for the Stallions. He went seven innings, giving up five runs, eight hits, and striking out six. David Ellis took the loss for Dubois County. He tossed four innings, giving up three runs, and five hits.

The Bombers collected eight hits. Mercier, Roman Trujillo, and Jordan Libman each collected multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Libman, Trujillo, and Mercier each collected two hits to lead Dubois County.

Muhlenberg County had 11 hits in the game. Walters, Millwood, and Harper each collected multiple hits for the Stallions. Walters went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Muhlenberg County Stallions in hits.
