The Owensboro Oilers shutout the visiting Fulton Railroaders Tuesday night at Chautauqua Park in Owensboro. The final score was Oilers 4 to Railroaders 0.


Owensboro plated one run in the bottom of the 2nd inning, added one more in the bottom of the 4th inning, and capped the scoring with a 2-run home run off the bat of Chase Andrews in the bottom of the 6th inning. Oilers pitching became the story of the night. Starter Payton Griffin threw six innings of scoreless ball for the win scattering five hits with 7 Ks against no walks.
Tristan Cone followed with two equally scoreless innings and Brady Austin finished up pitching the scoreless top of the 9th inning.
