The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Tradewater Pirates, 7-4

The Railroader drew the first blood in the 1st inning scoring 2 runs from a hit, walk, error and a groundout RBI.  Top of the 2nd; Fulton added another run when Mike Pudlo reach 1st on a two out single, stole 2nd and then scored off a Mikee Moore base hit. The Pirates got their first man aboard in the bottom of the 2nd but failed to score.  In the 3rd inning; Railroader Rob Hogankamp lead off with a single and Tyler O'Daniel followed with a RBI triple to give Fulton a 4-0 lead. Top of the 4rh; with one out Mike Pudlo walked followed by Mikee Moore who promptly got his third hit, a RPI triple bringing Fulton's total to 5 runs. Bottom of the 4th the Pirates finally got on the board when Eric Herman singled with one out and then scored off a Derrek Estell double. Estell then scored off a fielders choice to cut Fulton's lead to 5-2.  Top of the 5th; Tradewater's starting pitcher Calyn Young got into trouble and loaded the bases with 2 outs.  Young was pulled and Logan Thomas was sent in and end the Railroader threat with a strikeout.  Bottom of the 5th; Pirates pick up another run with 2 men aboard and a 2 out RBI double from Eric Herman.  In the 6th, the Railroaders got the bases loaded with one out and Brock Downey knocks in 2 RBIs with a single to extends Fulton's lead 7-3.  Fulton reliever Justin Daily replaced starter Steven Dooley to begin the bottom of the 6th inning and holds the Pirates scoreless.  Kyle Weary assumed the pitching duties for the Pirates to begin the top of the 7th inning and retires the Railroaders side for the first time on the evening.  Tradewater manufactured one run in the bottom of the 7th with an RBI single from Eric Herman for a 7-4 score. Both teams were scoreless in the 8th inning.  Dylan Delaune came in to pitch for Tradewater in the 9th and puts down 3 straight Railroaders.  Fulton put Tate Glasscock on the mound for the bottom of the 9th who gave up 2 singles to start the inning, then 2 outs and issued a walk to load the bases.  Pirate Chris Mitko comes to plate and hits a ground ball back to Glasscock who throws to first for the final out of the game.  Dooley takes the win for Fulton, Glasscock earns a save, and Young the loss for Tradewater.  The two teams meet again tomorrow, Wednesday in Tradewater.
