Pirates and Russ Gilliam ride a big home run shot by Sean Noland to win over Owensboro.  Bucs raced out to a 5-0 cushion, then extended it 8-2, before a crowd of 500 at Hopkinsville, in a game broadcast by WHOP.  The Oilers took advantage of a momentary lapse by Pirate pitching and fielding late, but Weary comes on to douse the fire in the 8th and 9th, to record their seventh win versus eight losses.  With the loss, the Oilers drop to 7-7.  The squads repeat the action at Riverside Park Friday night at 7pm.
