The Marion Bobcats defeated the Fulton Railroaders, 1-0
In a game featuring a pitching dual between Marion's Garret Hunt and Fulton's BJ Sieverding, the Bobcats prevailed over the Railroaders. Hunt allowed only 2 hits, 6 walks and handed out 12 strikeouts. Sieverding gave out 3 hits, only 3 walks and issued 8 strikeouts. Matthew Vollenweider earned another save. The only run scored in the ballgame came in the bottom of the 7th when Desmond Roberts reached home on a Landon Weitekamp bunt single. The Bobcats stranded 7 total men on base with the Railroaders leaving 6. Mike Pudlo got both of the Railroaders' hits (one a double) and was the only multi-hit player for either side. The teams go at it again on Sunday in a doubleheader in Fulton.
