The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Owensboro Oilers, 3-0
The Owensboro Oilers spilt a Monday double header with the visiting Fulton Railroaders. Fulton claimed Game 1 by the score of 3 to 0, while Owensboro took Game 2 with the score of 3 to 1. The result marked the third time this season these two teams have split a twin bill in Owensboro by winning those respective games in each. In Game 1 The Railroaders scored single runs in the the 1st, 3rd, and 5th innings. In the top of the 1st inning, with one out Brandon Eggenschwiler singled and stole second base. An out later he scored on a RBI single by Khatan Al-Kaissy. In the top of the 3rd inning Zach Bailey singled, then reached second on an error. Bailey scored on a two-out RBI by Eggenschwiler. In the top of the 5th inning Mikee Moore hit an RBI solo homerun; the final movement in the Game 1 scoring. That was all Fulton starter Skylar Cobb needed. Cobb stymied the Oilers with a complete game one-hit gem -- 9 IP 0 Runs, 1 Hit, 2 BB , and 9 K. Owensboro starter Ethan Robinson took the loss.
