The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Tradewater Pirates, 5-2
The game had one rain delay, then resumed play until the bottom of the 7th and another rain delay began. The game was finally called due to rain and field conditions. The game is complete at 6 innings.
Fulton took full advantage of early Pirate miscues, as well as timely hitting, to forge a 5-0 lead. The rains then came, and after a considerable delay, the Pirates scored several runs to narrow the margin to 5-2, but could not edge closer. Sieverding mastered the Pirates to the tune of eight strikeouts, and the Bucs seemed incapable of mounting any sort of comeback. The second rain delay brought torrential rain to Riverside, and the game was called as the Pirates were at bat in the bottom half of the seventh frame. Russ Gilliam took the loss for the Buccos. The relief pitching of Caleb Luttrell was the only highlight of the evening for Tradewater, who now find themselves in deep OVL water.
