In 11 innings.  Marion played its fourth extra-inning affair in five days, losing 3-2 Wednesday to Owensboro in the 11th.  The Bobcats put a run on the board in the third and then the seventh, tying the game after the Oilers scored two runs in the top of the inning. The bullpens kept runs off the board until the 11th when Marion's closer, Matt Vollenweider, let the winning run cross the plate to move Owensboro to 3-2. The run and ensuing loss, however, were charged to Garret Hunt (1-3, 3.12 ERA) who allowed the eventual winning run to reach on a lead-off double.  In his third inning of work for Owensboro. Austin Clay sat down the Bobcats 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 11th, securing his third win of the season.  A.J. Dokey had Marion's only RBI of the night, coming of a double in the third inning. Dokey would factor in the Bobcats' only other run as well. In the seventh, Dokey led off the inning with a walk and eventually came around to score on a wild pitch.  Owensboro's two runs scored in regulation came off Josh Anders, who started the game for Marion. Both runs were unearned, however, thanks to an error.
