The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Owensboro Oilers, 12-2

The Railroaders overwhelmed the Oilers with runs to extend Fulton's 1st place lead, while Owensboro experienced a scoring drought.  The combined 22 hit exhibition was conducted in front of a record 366 Fans at Lohaus Field who'd gather to support the Railroaders and Relay for Life.  Although the Oilers out hit the Railroaders 12-10, they only managed 2 runs; highlighted by an Eric Barnes solo homer in the 5th.  Kahtan Al-Kaissy started the scoring by contributing a 2 RBI homer in the bottom of the 1st giving Fulton an early lead.  Mikee Moore then headed the Railroaders with a staggering 7 RBI evening; going 4 of 5 which included a single, two 2 RBI doubles and a 3 RBI homerun.  Eleven of Fulton's 12 runs were earned and the Railroaders stranded 7 runners on base.  For their effort of 12 hits; the Oilers left 9 on base and cashed in only 1 earned run, the other on Fulton's 1 error of the game.  Justin Dailey started the pitching duties and gets the win going 5 innings giving up 9 hits, striking out 4 and allowing no walks.  Three additional Fulton pitchers finished the game with no bases on balls allowed; Aaron Chez-Shaw threw for 2 innings, followed by BJ Sieverding and Steven Dooley each pitching one inning.  Owensboro's starter Brad Pressley went for 6 1/3 innings before being relieved  with 7 runs scored against him and takes the loss.  The two teams repeat play again tomorrow, Saturday, in Fulton.  The Oilers along with the Bobcats, who lost to the Pirates, fall back one game in the standings, now 1.5 behind the Railroaders.  The Pirates continue to trail by 3 games.
