The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Marion Bobcats, 9-3
The Railroaders used 5 hits, 2 walks and a sacrifice fly and jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first 2 innings of play. The Bobcats finally got on the board in the 6th with 3 runs off 4 hits. Fulton replied in the 7th with a run and 2 more in the 9th to seal the victory in game 1 of the Post Season Playoffs. Both offenses blasted 23 total hits which included 5 doubles and 2 triples. Fulton's offense made the most of their 11 total hits only stranding 5 on base. Mikee Moore was 3 of 4, 2 RBIs, and 4 runs scored; Brandon Eggenschwiler 3 of 3, 2 scores. 1 RBI; Rob HogenKamp 2 for 4, scored and 3 RBI; Joe Mike 2 of 5 and 2 RBIs. Marion mustered up 12 hits, however left 11 men on board. Cody Schmitt 3 of 5 and Desmond Roberts 3 of 4 with a RBI lead the Bobcat hitting. Taylor Reilly started for Fulton and went 6 innings earning the win. Garret Hunt lasted only 1 1/3 inning but takes the loss with 6 earned runs against him. Round 1 continues on Wednesday with the Railroaders and Bobcats at Fulton in game 2 of the best of 3 series.
