The Marion Bobcats defeated the Fulton Railroaders, 15-7

The Bobcats improved to 2-1 after dishing out a 4th straight loss to the Railroaders in Fulton in an abbreviate 6 inning game call for lightning and weather. Marion improved their team batting average in two games of .193 to .311 against a struggling Railroader pitching staff. The Bobcats pounded out 17 hits lead by Tyler Bernard who went 5 for 5 and included 2 doubles and a 3 RBI homerun for a total of 5 RBI's. Fulton did manage 10 hits to get their 7 runs along with using 2 Bobcat errors.  Austin Bryant was best for the Railroaders at the plate going 3 of 4 including a 3 RBI homerun. David Roper earns the win for Marion pitching the full 6 innings, Christopher Flores takes the loss going only 2.67 innings and giving up 9 earned runs.  The woes for the Railroaders continue through 4 games as they have produced a total of 32 runs but have allowed 44 to score against them. Bobcat pitching suffered little by going into the game with a team 2.12 ERA average and emerging with a 3.52 ERA average.
