The Hoptown Hoppers defeated the Madisonville Pirates, 7-1
Tradewater lost to the upstart Hoppers at home Tuesday night, as it seemed the Pirates could do no right and the Hoppers no wrong, as it applied to scoring opportunities. The Pirates left nearly a dozen and a half mates on the bases, and the pitching staff struggled to stay above water all night. The Hoppers played well, and gave the Pirates fits all night, as each Pirate rally seemed to fizzle. Robert Spath took the loss and Tradewater saw their perfect record drop to 2-1, as they now prepare for Marion at home Wednesday. Cole Fergus was the hits leader for Tradewater.
