The Marion Bobcats defeated the Owensboro Oilers, 4-3

The Owensboro Oilers lost at home Friday night in Owensboro to the visiting Marion Bobcats. The final score was 4 to 3. The Oilers scored single runs in each of the tops of the 1st, 6th and 7th innings. The Bobcats got single runs in the tops of the 5th and 6th innings, then took the game with two runs in the top of the 9th inning. Scoring for Owensboro was Taylor Mathews, Josh Salmon and Oilers newcomer Jorge Rosales. Salmon and Matthews also had an RBI each for the home team. Scoring for Marion was James Petersen, Sean Fitzgerald, and Jake Pewitt -- whore came across twice for the Bobcats. Marion RBIs belonged to Tyler Bernard, Pewitt and Alex Reiman. The winning Bobcats Pitcher was Tyler Browning in relief while Owensboro reliever Jordan Meese took the difficult loss.
