The Hoptown Hoppers defeated the Madisonville Pirates, 3-2
The Hoptown Hoppers retain their first place standing with a come from behind win at home against the Tradewater Pirates. The Pirates scored a run in the 1st inning on a RBI double from Cole Fergus and held a 1-0 lead through 7 innings. The Hoppers finally got on the board and took the lead in the bottom of the 8th scoring 3 runs from a 2 RBI single fro Jake Sandlin and a RBI sacrifice fly by Bobby Clark. The Pirates responded with one run in the 9th but remained short by 1 run. Kyle Spencer got the win finishing the game through the last 3 innings striking out 5 batters giving up 3 hits with one unearned run. Starter Dillion Endecott took the hard loss going 7 1/3 innings allowing 5 hits, 3 earned runs, 2 walks and striking out 4 batters.
