The Hoptown Hoppers defeated the Madisonville Pirates, 6-0

Little went right Saturday night as Tradewater garnered only 4 hits off Hopper pitching, as Hammock and Barbee shut down Bucco hitting.  The Pirates certainly had their chances, stranding runners in several situations with just one out, but Hoptown pitching and defense stymied every attempt, leaving Tradewater goose-egged and frustrated.

Pirate starter Dillon Endecott, witout his "A" in tow, struggled to control the Hoppers, as the league-leaders raced out to a commanding lead.  About the only Pirate highlight was the insertion of Stony Brook outfielder, Michael Roehrig, into the Tradewater line-up, as the lefty tattooed the ball with authority each time at bat.  Ethan Blumental had a pinch hit single in the 9th, with Cody Hyden and Logan Leverett the only other Bucs with bingos on the evening.  Tradewater drops to a disappointing 8-9, losing a game in the standings to Hoptown.  The Pirates are home to Owensboro Monday.
