The Pirates hold on to win in Marion against the Bobcats. A walked batter and a triple by Cole Fergus gave the Pirates one run in the 1st inning. Bottom of the 1st, the Bobcats answered scoring two runs with 2 men aboard and a Greg Liming 2 RBI double. The Pirates tied game at 2 in the top of the second with a sac fly and a runner on third who reached on an error and advanced 2 bases on as many wild pitches.

     The Pirates heaped on 6 more runs in the third to give Madisonville their total of 8 runs. The inning contained five hits and 2 Bobcat errors, and included a Logan Crook 3 RBI triple and a RBI double by Blake Massey.

     Bobcats made it a close game in the sixth inning using five hits to score 5 more runs  The inning included two singles and three doubles by Clint Ambrosch, Jake Pewitt and Brandon Ollet,

     Michael Edwards gets the win pitching 5 2/3 innings, and Wayne Sparks earned a save throwing the final inning. Chris Hunt takes the loss for Marion going only three innings and giving all 8 Pirate scores with only 4 earned.
