The Marion Bobcats defeated the Fulton Railroaders, 6-1
(From Marion) Marion pulled a game closer to Fulton for second place in the Ohio Valley League with a 6-1 win Wednesday. The victory moved the fourth-place Bobcats to 13-17, just four games behind second-place Fulton whose record is a mirror image of Marion's at 17-13.
There are 10 games left on the Bobcats' schedule. The season ends with a scheduled double header with the Hoptown July 21 at Guess Field.
Fulton is three games off the pace set by Hoptown. Idle Tradewater remains in third place, 4.5 games behind the Hoppers, who topped last place Owensboro 3-2 on Wednesday. The Oilers are 10.5 games out at the end of the night.
