The Madisonville Pirates defeated the Hoptown Hoppers, 7-2
The Pirates used 12 hits and 8 Hoptown errors to control and beat the Hoppers in Hopkinsville on Monday.
At the plate, Tradewater was lead by Michael Roehrig going 3 of 5, one RBI and one score, and Cole Fergus who was 3 for 4 with a RBI and one score. Blake Massey added a solo homer to the mix. Matt McGowan highlighted for Hoptown with a homerun in the 9th for his team's second run.
Kooper Kessler was the winning pitcher going 7 innings striking out 7, walking 4, allowing 5 hits and one unearned run. Will Hammock takes the loss for Hoptown throwing for 5 innings giving up 9 hits, one walk for 4 strikeouts. He was tagged for 6 runs with only one being earned.
