The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Marion Bobcats, 3-2
In 7 innings. (From Fulton) In the nightcap of the doubleheader, the Railroaders had to battle back and retake the lead to win by one run. Fulton scored first with a run in the 2nd inning. The Bobcats tied the game in the 4th with one score, then took a 2-1 lead in the 5th inning. The Railroaders finally got going again in the 6th to put up two runs using 3 hits, a Bobcat error and sacrifice fly for the final 3-2 score.
Fulton managed only 5 hits with Alex Huddleston being the best at 2 for 3 and one RBI. The Bobcats punched out 9 hits total with Cole Prejean leading going 3 of 4, one RBI and one score.
Fulton starter Daniel Szathmary pitched for 5 1/3 innings but left the game with the Bobcats leading 2-1. Brock Downey came in to finish the top half of the 6th innings and earned his fifth win with the Railroaders taking the lead in the bottom half of the inning. Cody Alvey picked up his 6th save on the season shutting out the Bobcats in the 7th with two strikeouts and a fly out. Caleb Luttrell takes the loss for Marion going the full 6 innings, striking out 3, one walk, and tagged for 3 runs only 1 earned.
