The Madisonville Pirates defeated the Hoptown Hoppers, 8-3

In 7 innings. (From Madisonville) The Buccos took the first game of a doubleheader with league champ Hoptown, by the count of 8-3, behind the fine mound work of Michael Edwards.  The Pirates used two big innings to build an early lead, and gave Hoptown starter Taylor Veillon the loss.
