The Hoptown Hoppers defeated the Madisonville Pirates, 7-6
In 7 innings. (From Madisonville) In the second contest, Pirate starter Chad Cox had a nightmare first frame, as he watched the Hoppers score all seven of the their tallies in the opening stanza. The Pirates struck for 4 runs in the bottom of the inning, and tacked on single runs in two remaining innings, but came up short in the end, by the count of 7-6. Cox took the loss, but the Pirates were buoyed by the fine relief pitching of Hayden Marks. Brad Sevenish had a home run for Hoptown in the second game.
