In 7 innings. (From Owensboro) The Owensboro Oilers completed their 2012 regular season at home in a Sunday double header of seven-inning games with the visiting Fulton Railroaders. The result was a split as Fulton won game #1 by the final score of 4 to 0. The Oilers fell behind late in game #2 as well, but rallied to a 4 to 2 victory.
In game # 1, the Railroaders scored one run in the top of the 1st inning and three runs in the top of the 6th inning. In the 1st inning Fulton leadoff hitter Brandon Shaw doubled. He eventually scored on a RBI sacrifice fly by Rob Hogankamp. Scoring in the 6th inning were Hogankamp (hit by pitch), Billy O'Connor (RBI single) and Andrew Cash (single). Rick Linton also RBI singled in the inning. Railroaders starter Jonathon Williams pitched the complete seven innings for the shutout win. Oilers starter Colton Slank got the loss.
