The Owensboro Oilers defeated the Fulton Railroaders, 4-2
In 7 innings. (From Owensboro) In game #2 the Oilers scored first with one run in the bottom of the 4th inning. Tyler Tichenor led off the inning with a single, and advanced to second on a defensive error. He came in later on a RBI fielder's choice by Christian McHatton. Fulton took the lead with two runs in the top of the 6th inning. Daniel Szathmary walked and eventually scored on a RBI single by Jack Henry Jones. Jones was later plated on a RBI single by Quinton Alexander. Facing a possible sweep, Owensboro scored three runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to re-take the lead. Tichenor (single), Matt Johnson (bunt single), and McHatton (bunt single) reached base consecutively to load the bases. Tichenor scored on a foul sacrifice fly by Austin Edge and Johnson moved to third base. Mauldino Gonzalez walked to fill the bases again. A passed ball let Johnson come across and the other runners to move up. Zack Willoughby lifted another RBI sacrifice fly to bring in McHatton. After six innings the Oilers led 4 to 2. The game played to completion with the same score. Oilers reliever Matt Johnson collected the win as the pitcher of record when Owensboro reclaimed the lead. Christian McHatton took the mound and worked around a hit and an error while striking out two in saving the game in the top of the 7th inning. Rick Linton got the loss for Fulton.
