The Pirates were led at the plate by Garrett Emling, who went 3 for 4 with a Grand Slam and 7 RBIs. Jarod Perry went 2 for 2 and added 2 RBIs. On the mound, Pirate pitcher CJ Schildt II came on in relief of starter Daniel Sharp and reliever Jack Coleman, and he slammed the door on the Oilers for the W.
