(From Madisonville) The Marion Bobcats defeated the Madisonville Tradewater Pirates last night 9-8 at Elmer Kelley Stadium.  Bobcat pitcher Tyler Simmons got the W, with Pirate starter Mason Roof suffering the Loss.  The Bobcats jumped out to an early lead, scoring all nine runs in the first four innings of the ball game. Madisonville rallied late, scoring five runs over the last three innings, but ultimately fell one run short in the bottom of the 9th inning. 

    The loss was the first of the season for the Pirates (3-1). Marion (1-4) got into the win column with the victory. Box scores and current OVL standings are available on the Game Day page of the Pirate website.
