(From Madisonville) Tonight the Pirates went down in defeat to the Dubois County Bombers, 4-2.  After scoring 42 runs in their first four ballgames, the Pirate bats got shut down by Bomber pitcher Kyle Briner, who scattered five hits over 7-2/3 innings and gave up one run.  Briner got the Win, with Bomber reliever Clint Chestnut getting the Save.  Pirate starter Aaron Mason got the Loss.  Ty Broady and Chad Collum got one RBI each for the Pirates.

     The Bombers improve their season record to a league-best 5 -1.  Despite the loss, the Pirates remain in Second Place with a record of 3-2, one game and one-half behind the Bombers. The Pirates and the Bombers will hook back up tomorrow night in Dubois County, Indiana.
