The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Marion Bobcats, 8-4
(From Fulton) After an hour delay in starting the game due to weather, the Railroaders (3-4) and Bobcats (2-5) played their second game together in as many nights. Both teams scored a run each in the 1st inning and the game remained tied until the 5th. Alex Huddleston led off the bottom of the inning for Fulton and jumped on the pitch to hit a homerun over the right center field wall. The Railroaders added 3 more runs in the 7th and 8th innings to give Fulton a command 8-1 lead. The Bobcats rallied in the 9th to put up 3 runs, but effort was too little, too late.
Four Railroaders got 2 hits each; Kyle Simmons 2 for 4 and 3 RBI, Cody Burton was 2 for 3, a RBI and scored twice, Hunter Owen 2 for 3 and 2 runs scored, Alex Huddleston 2 for 2, scored 3 with 2 RBI. Matt Skrzypiec was 1 for 4 and had 2 RBI.
Three Bobcats also made the 2 hits list; Luke Pearce was 2 for 4 and one RBI, Wes Evers went 2 for 4 and scored once, and Jarrett Rice 2 for 4, a RBI and run scored.
Starting pitcher John Lollar takes the win for Fulton going 5 innings allowing 3 hits, one earned run, 3 walks and struck out 5. The loss goes to David Herrera who threw for 6 innings tagged for 4 hits, 2 earned runs. Herrera walked 4 and had 5 strikeouts.
