(From Dubois County) The Pirates were too much for the Bombers tonight as the Pirates knocked off Dubois County, 5-4 in Huntingburg, IN.

Madisonville got 2 hits each from four different players, clubbed four doubles in the ball game and out hit Dubois County, 12 to 7. Jacob Armstrong and Chris Tavares each slapped two hits for the Bombers, who tied the game at 3 runs after the Pirates scored 3 in the top of the 1st.

The Pirates', Ty Broady responded with a RBI single in the top of the 2nd as the Pirates would hold on to the lead for the rest of the game. The Bombers made it, 5-4 in the 6th but never could get any closer. On the mound Pirate starter, Heath Kelly worked 6 innings to get the win for Madisonville, Ty Simpson took the loss for Dubois County, throwing 5 innings.
