The Hoptown Hoppers defeated the Marion Bobcats, 12-0

The Bobcats were kept off the board Tuesday night at Guess Field, falling to Hopkinsville (4-3), who scored 12 runs on 10 hits, 12 walks and three Bobcat errors. It was only the third shutout pitched in the league this year, the first against the Bobcats, now 2-6 and in last place in the league.
     Hoptown pitchers gave up eight hits and only one walk, stranding seven Marion runners on base. Starter Riley Sanderson (2-0) got the win for the Hoppers after going seven innings. Austin Braddock (0-1) pitched only 2.1 innings in the loss for Marion, giving up four runs, though only one was earned. Marion used six pitchers on the evening.
     At the plate, Wes Evers was 3-for-4 with a stolen base. Five other hitters contributed singles.
