The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Madisonville Pirates, 12-0
(From Fulton) The Railroaders (4-5) got a shutout win over the Pirates (5-3) off superb pitching by Isaac Behme who went a full 9 innings on the mound. Behme gave up a single to start the game then shut down 25 batters in a roll before allowing 3 final Pirates hits in the ninth. Behme struck out 6 and no walks, and was backed by great defensive and error free play.
Fulton's offense matched the effort on the mound banging out 15 hits that included homeruns by Cody Burton (2 RBI), Sake Shadix (2 RBI), and Josh Bynum. At the plate; Taylor Douglas was best going 3 for 4, 3 RBI and one score, followed by Hunter Owen 3 for 3 and scoring twice.
Pirate starter Robert Barth threw for 5 2/3 innings giving up 13 hits, tagged for 8 runs (7 earned), with only one walk and no strikeouts. Three Pirate relievers faired better only allowing 2 hits, but too little too late for Tradewater to recover. Complete game stats see box scores.
