The Owensboro Oilers defeated the Fulton Railroaders, 4-2
(From Owensboro) An evening after a road loss in Madisonville, the Owensboro Oilers won a Sunday night home game with the visiting Fulton Railroaders. The final score was 4 to 2 in Owensboro's favor.
The Oilers scored three runs in the bottom of the 1st inning. Scoring were Tyler Tichenor (walked), Cody Rogers (walked), and Hunter Newman (RBI single).Christian McHatton and Dalton West also had RBI singles in the inning. Owensboro made it 4-0 with one run in the bottom of the 5th inning as Tichenor singled and eventually scored on a RBI single by Rogers.
The Railroadders scored one run in the top of the 6th inning. Matt Skrzpiec singled in the inning. Errant fielding moved him to third base, and he scored on a passed ball. Fulton rallied for one more run in the top of the 9th inning. With one out, Jake Shadix walked. A single moved Shadix to third base. Shadix scored on a RBI groundout by Alex Huddleston. A last groundout finalized the score 4 to 2 for the home team.
Owensboro starter Taylor Grisham won while Fulton starter Garrett Ring lost.
