The Madisonville Pirates defeated the Marion Bobcats, 8-2

In 7 innings. Marion fell to 5.5 games off the league lead after dropping both ends of a double header against Madisonville Thursday.

     In the first game, the Pirates lit up the scoreboard with eight runs on nine hits in seven innings, downing the Bobcats 8-2. Marion managed eight hits but pushed across only two runs off starter Heath Kelley, who earned the complete-game victory. Bobcats starter Luke MacDonald gave up seven earned runs in five innings, taking the loss. At the plate for Marion, Brandon Lawing went 2-for-3 and Tyler Odom went 2-for-4. Cody Brown had the team's only RBI. Paul Angel added a double, the team's only extra-base hit of the night.
