The Madisonville Pirates defeated the Marion Bobcats, 5-4
In 8 innings. In the nightcap, it took extra innings for the Pirates (10-6) to become the first team in the league with double-digit wins. Madisonville and former Bobcats manager Steve Fowler earned the 5-4 victory in the eighth when leadoff hitter Samuel Gilbert reached after being hit by a pitch. After stealing second base, he was batted home on a sacrifice bunt from Gooch Greer after a Marc Noyalis single to break the 3-3 tie. Noyalis would also come around to score after an Austin Shives double. The Bobcats (4-11) fought back in the bottom of the eighth with the first two batters reaching base on singles. Blaine Alvey and Brooks Balisterri were both moved into scoring position on a sacrifice bunt from Cody Brown, but the Bobcats could move only Alvey across the plate on a Tyler Odom ground out RBI. Tyler Boxwell went 3-for-3 with an RBI for the Bobcats.
