The Hoptown Hoppers defeated the Owensboro Oilers, 4-2

In 7 innings. (From Hopkinsville)  In the second game of the double-header, Hoptown again scored first. In the bottom of the second inning, Henry Rowland led off with a single, was advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt and scored on a single by Derek Finch.

     Owensboro responded in the top of the third inning, when Taylor Matthews led off with a walk and Tyler Tichenor followed with a single. Both runners advanced on a sacrifice bunt, and Matthews scored on a sacrifice fly. Tichenor stole third and scored on an errant throw, giving the Oilers a 2-1 lead.

     Hoptown retook the lead in the bottom half of the inning when Mitch Huckabay led off with a single, followed by a single by Zac Carter. Rowland reached on a fielding error, scoring Huckabay, and an errant throw on the same play scored Carter, putting the Hoppers ahead 3-2.

     Hoptown tacked on another run in the bottom of the sixth inning when Drew Allen got a two-out single, stole second and scored on an infield single by Trevor Lowe to give the Hoppers the 4-2 win.
