The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Dubois County Bombers, 12-8

(From Fulton)  The Railroaders (10-10) beat the Bombers (10-9) and send Dubois County into third position in the standing.  The win is Fulton fifth straight as they maintain their 4 games back spot in fifth place, while the Bombers fall to 3.5 back.  

     The Bombers took a short lived lead in first inning scoring one run.  The Railroaders exploded in the bottom of the third with 6 runs that included a 3 RBI homer by Ramon Valdez.  The Bombers responded in the 4th with one run and added two more in the 5th with a Bo Ausmus 2 RBI homerun.  Fulton busted out 5 more runs in the sixth inning with a second homer from Ramon Valdez, this time a grand slam.  Valdez finished the evening going 2 for 3 with 7 RBI.

     In the seventh inning, the Bombers fought back and put up three more runs off a Chris Tavares 3 run homer.  The Railroaders added another run in the bottom of the seventh for a 12-7 lead.  DC managed their final score in the ninth with a solo homerun from Bo Ausmas, his second on the evening. Ausmus went 3 for 5, scored four time with 3 RBI total on the night.

     Both starters get the decisions with Isaac Behme earning the win for 5 innings of work on the mound, and Connor Strain takes the loss throwing for only 3 innings.  The two teams go at it again on Thursday in Dubois County.
