(From Owensboro)  The Owensboro Oilers lost their Friday night home game with the visiting Madisonville Tradewater Pirates. The definitive score was 6 to 0 for the visitors.
     The Oilers  and Pirates played fast and scoreless through the 4th inning. The Madisonville offense took the game from there with two runs in the 5th, one run in the 6th, one run in the 8th, and two runs in the 9th. Scoring for the Pirates were Joe Tipton, Garrett Emling, Marc Noyalis, Samuel Gilbert (2), and Shawn Williamson. RBIs went to Tipton (2), Alfredo Bohorquez, and Robert Veltre (2), and Kyle DeMeo.
     Madisonville starter Daniel Sharp got the win with Chad Cox going three innings for a save. Owensboro starter Bo Lewington took the loss for the Oilers.
