The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Owensboro Oilers, 6-3
In 7 innings. (From Fulton) In the night cap, the Railroaders scored first again in the 2nd inning when Garret O'Neill hit his first home run on the season for 2 RBI.
The Oilers scored one in the top of the 4th inning. After leading off with a single, Tyler Tichenor finally scored after 2 Railroader errors. Bottom half of the inning, the Railroaders came back with 4 more runs. Matt Skrzpiec lead off with a double and was followed by a RBI single Kyle Simmons. With two men on and two out, Cody Burton stepped to the plate and hit a 3 RBI homer, his third on the season.
Owensboro added one run in the 5th and 6th innings to top off their scoring. Austin Edge had a RBI single in the 5th, and Christian McHatton follow suit in the 6th with a RBI single.
Both teams had 6 hits each total, and only the Railroaders committing 3 errors in the game.
Starter Jake Shadix picked up his first win pitching 5 2/3 innings, allowing 6 hits, tag for 3 runs (one earned), 2 walks, and had 6 strikeouts. Ryan Skoubo earned his second save on the season with 1/13 innings to complete the game. Owensboro starter Cameron Wallace takes the loss with 4 innings of work, also giving up 6 hits, marked for 6 earned runs, one walk, and 4 strikeouts.
