The Owensboro Oilers defeated the Dubois County Bombers, 6-4
(From Dubois County) The Owensboro Oilers (13-13) scored two runs in the 6th inning to beat the Dubois County Bombers (14-14), 6-4 at League Stadium. Another big crowd came out to League Stadium as attendance was recorded at, 1,310 fans.
Visiting Owensboro got on the scoreboard first, scoring twice in the 2nd inning off a sac fly and RBI single. Dalton West had the sac fly and Taylor Matthews hit the RBI single. In the 4th the Oilers tacked on two more runs, scoring the same way, a RBI single and RBI sac fly. Owensboro took control of the game in the 6th, scoring two more runs to break a tie and win.
Dubois County produced nine hits for the game, scored three runs in the 3rd to take a, 3-2 lead and tied the game at, 4-4 in the 4th but couldn't find the run column for the rest of the game after tying the game in the 4th inning. Two Dubois County players finished with two hits, Hamilton Carr and Casey Ryan. Andre Davis, Shain Showers, Bo Ausmus, Jacob Armstrong and Rick Linton each had a hit.
Tyler Mitchell took the mound for the Bombers, lasting 5 1/3 innings and striking out two. Taylor Grisham pitched the first four innings before giving the ball up to the eventual winning pitcher, Austin Brunk. Edwin Reyes worked the final three innings to earn the save.
