(From Madisonville)  The first place Hoptown Hoppers sunk the Madisonville Pirates tonight at Elmer Kelley Stadium, 12-0.  Hoptown pounded out fifteen hits against only six for the Pirates.

     Kyle Barbee pitched a complete game shutout to get the Win for the Hoppers. Pirate starter CJ Schildt left the game in the fifth inning and took the Loss.  Relievers Tyler Thomas and Kyle DeMeo also saw action on the mound for the Pirates, with DeMeo pitching 3.33 scoreless innings to finish the game.

     At the plate, the Hoppers were led by Trevor Lowe (3-4, 2 R, 2 RBI), Brad Sevenish (3-4, 1 R, 2 RBI), and Brandon Powell (2-5, 1 R, 2 RBI).  Matt McGowan and Zac Carter chipped in, scoring two runs each.

     Ty Broady went 2-3 for Madisonville, with Joe Tipton, Dathan Prewett, Matt Sheneman, and Shawn Williamson each getting a base hit.

The win extends Hoptown's record to 19-9, and the Pirates fall back to .500 on the season at 14-14.

     The Pirates are back in action on Monday night in Marion to make up a game previously cancelled due to rain out. The game gets underway at 7pm Central.
