The Dubois County Bombers defeated the Marion Bobcats, 10-2
(From Marion) For the fourth straight game, Marion gave up 10 runs Thursday en route to a loss. For the second consecutive night, it was Dubois County that took advantage of Bobcat pitching, earning a 10-2 win at Guess Field. The Bobcats fell to 6-26. The Bombers climbed to fourth in the standings with the victory.
At the plate for Marion, Tyler Bonaventure was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Cody Brown, Paul Angel, Joe Tourville and Tyler Boxwell each contributed singles.
On the hill, Tyler Mitchell of Dubois County pitched five innings for the win, while Tyler Simmons gave up nine runs in the same five innings, taking the loss for Marion. In relief, Blake Thomas threw for three innings, allowing only one Bombers run to cross the plate. Scooter Hightower closed the game with a scoreless inning.
