The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Owensboro Oilers, 4-2

(From Owensboro)  The Owensboro Oilers were overcome in a loss at home Saturday night to the visiting Fulton Railroaders. The final score was 4-2 in Fulton's favor.
    Owensboro scored first with one run in the bottom of the 1st inning. Leadoff hitter Tyler Tichenor walked, and was sacrificed over to second base. Tichenor stole third base and scored on a two-out RBI triple from Hunter Newman.
    The 1-0 Oilers lead held up until the Railroaders scored one run in the top of the 6th inning. That run came by way of a solo RBI home run from Colton Simbeck  Fulton took the lead with two runs in the top of the 7th inning. Ramon Valdez led off with a walk. He came all the way around to score as Taylor Douglas followed with a RBI double. One out later a RBI single by Kyle Simmons scored Douglas. The Railroaders added one more run in the top of the 8th inning. With one away, Michael Diaz singled. Consecutive walks to following batters loaded the bases. Diaz scored from third on an error that put Douglas on base before a double play ended the frame. The Railroader advantage was 4 to 1.
    Owensboro managed to rally for one more run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Newman led of with a walk. Austin Edge and Dalton West singled back to back to load the bases. Newman scored as Logan Leverett grounded into a double play, then a strikeout ended the game.
    Fulton starter Isaac Behme went eight innings for the win, Caleb Shelly pitched the ninth for a save.  Owensboro starter Cameron Wallace took the loss.
