(From Madisonville)  The Madisonville Tradewater Pirates swept a two-game home/home series with the Marion Bobcats this weekend. The Pirates traveled to Marion on Friday night and took the first game of the series, 19-4. 

     The Bobcats made the return trip to Madisonville on Saturday, and the Pirates completed the sweep with a 14-2 victory. The game ended by mutual agreement of the head coaches after five 1/2 innings.

     With two straight wins, the Pirates raise their record to 18-16 and remain six games behind the red-hot Hoptown Hoppers (24-10). Madisonville travels north across the Ohio River on Sunday to face the Dubois County Bombers at Huntingburg. The game gets underway at 7 pm EASTERN (6 pm Central).
