The Hoptown Hoppers defeated the Owensboro Oilers, 10-1

In 7 innings. (From Owensboro) The Owensboro Oilers lost both games of a home doubleheader to the visiting Hopkinsville Hoppers. Hopkinsville seized Game 1 by a 10 to 1 final score. The Hoppers then claimed the nightcap in shutout fashion, 4 to 0.
     In Game 1, the Hoppers rode the surplus of a seven-run top of the 2nd inning. They produced individual runs in the tops of the 4th, 5th, and 6th innings. Owensboro's lone run of the twin bill came in the bottom of the the 2nd inning from Game 1.
     Scoring for the Hoppers in the first game were: Derek Ferch, John Beary (2), Seth Larue (2), Mason Colquitt, Brandon Boggetto, Zac Carter, and Trevor Lowe (2). The nine Hopkinsville RBIs went to: Ferch (3), Beary (3 -- HR), Larue, Carter and Lowe. Logan Leverett scored Owensboro's run, batted in on a RBI single by Tyler Tichenor.
     Hopkinsville starter Riley Sanderson went 7 innings for the complete game win. Owensboro starter Taylor Grisham took the loss.
