The Madisonville Pirates defeated the Dubois County Bombers, 4-2
In 7 innings. (From Madisonville) In Game 2, the Bombers held the Pirates scoreless until the bottom of the fifth, when the Pirates scored three runs to overcome a 1-0 deficit and take the lead. Garrett Emling and Alfredo Bohorquez scored after a Bomber throwing error, and Matt Sheneman scored a two batters later on a sacrifice fly by Shawn Williamson. Madisonville added one more in the sixth when Robert Veltre singled to drive in Dathan Prewett. Pirate starter Jack Coleman earned the win, going six complete innings. CJ Schildt II came on to pitch the seventh and earned the Save.
The doubleheader sweep lifts the Pirates to 21-17 on the season, good for third place in the current OVL standings. Madisonville remains 6.5 games behind league-leading Hopkinsville, winners of six straight games. Dubois County stays alone in fifth place at 17-21 overall, 10.5 games behind the Hoppers.
