The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Dubois County Bombers, 7-6

(From Fulton)  The Railroaders pulled it out to win in the bottom of the 9th inning off a pair of homeruns to beat the Bombers.

     The Railroaders took an early 2-0 lead after the first inning only to have the Bombers tie the game with 2 runs in the 3rd inning.  Fulton regained the lead in the 4th with 2 more runs scored.  The Bombers scored a single run in the 6th and 7th innings to tie the game agin, then took over the lead in the 8th scoring 2 two to make it 6-4 in favor of Dubois County.

     Bottom of the 9th Ramon Valdez walked to lead off.  After a fly out, Kyle Simmons came to plate and hit the first homerun for 2 RBI to tie it up.  Taylor Douglas, who had came into game to play first base and then moved to mound, stepped up and blasted a walk-off homer to win the game for Fulton.

     Kyle Simmons lead the offense for Fulton going 2 for 5, 3 RBI and one score.  Taylor Douglas was 2 of 3 with his game winning RBI homer and had a double.  For the Bombers, Shain Showers was best at the plate with 2 for 3, 2 RBI and scored once off a solo homerun.

      Fulton sent five pitchers to the mound.  Starter Colin Hatch went for 5 1/3 innings leaving the game with the Railroaders in the lead but gets no decision.  Taylor Douglas earned the win on the mound throwing the 9th inning.  

      Dubois County reliever Clint Chestnut takes the loss for the Bombers pitching the last 1 2/3 innings giving up the lead in the bottom of the 9th. 

      The regular season series between the two teams is now complete with the Railroaders taking it 5-4 games over the Bombers.
